Winning a horse’s trust is worth more than any ribbon you could win in a horse show. 3 juveniles riding triple over a jump bareback puts weight and possible bouncing too far back on sensitive lumbar spine. There are saddle fitters that make sure that your saddle fits correctly and doesn’t extend too far back, especially past L3 (third lumbar vertebrae) to avoid hurting horses’ backs. Avoid putting 3 riders on one horse to prevent weight on horses’ lumbar spine. Bouncing or weight from saddles should not extend over L3 (3rd lumbar vertebra). Bareback triple, especially over a jump, is not very safe.
